Terms & Conditions

Collets Auto Detailing Ltd Registered in England and Wales. Effective date 5th November 2025.

1. Introduction

1.1 Collets Auto Detailing Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “the Company”) is a professional car detailing business based in the United Kingdom. We provide a range of interior and exterior vehicle cleaning, polishing, protection, and restoration services (“Services”) at our premises, at customers’ locations, or via mobile units.

1.2 These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the contractual relationship between the Company and any individual or entity (“you”, “your”, or “the Client”) who books or receives our Services.

1.3 By booking a Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, please do not proceed with a booking.

2. Booking and Payment

2.1 Booking

  • Bookings can be made via our website (www.colletsdetailing.com), by telephone (07539016701), by email (jcvaletservice@gmail.com), or in person.

  • A booking is confirmed only once we send written confirmation (email or SMS) and any required deposit is received.

2.2 Deposits and Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking value is required for premium bookings. The balance is payable on completion of the Service unless otherwise agreed.

  • Acceptable payment methods: cash, debit/credit card, bank transfer, or approved digital wallets.

  • All prices are quoted in GBP and include VAT at the prevailing rate.

2.3 Pricing

  • Quoted prices are valid for 30 days from the date of quotation. We reserve the right to adjust prices for additional work requested on the day or for unforeseen vehicle conditions.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled start time will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.

3.2 Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start time will incur a cancellation fee of 25% of the total booking amount.

3.3 Inclement Weather Exception

  • If cancellation is due to severe weather that prevents safe provision of the Service (as reasonably determined by us), no fee will be charged.

  • The Client will be offered the next available booking slot at no additional cost, subject to availability.

3.4 To cancel, Clients must notify us in writing (email or SMS) quoting the booking reference.

4. Liability Limitations

4.1 We undertake Services with reasonable skill and care. However, the Client acknowledges that car detailing involves processes that carry inherent risks to paintwork, trim, glass, and interior surfaces.

4.2 Exclusion of Liability

  • We are not liable for: a) Pre-existing damage, wear, or defects (including stone chips, scratches, swirl marks, or corrosion); b) Damage caused by aftermarket modifications, non-OEM parts, or previous poor repairs; c) Loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle; d) Consequential losses (e.g., loss of use, inconvenience, or business interruption).

4.3 Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client for the Service in question.

4.4 The Client must inspect the vehicle immediately upon completion and report any concerns before leaving our premises or before the detailing team departs. Failure to do so will be deemed acceptance of the work.

4.5 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any matter for which it would be unlawful to exclude liability.

5. Service Guarantee

5.1 We guarantee that Services will be performed to a professional standard using high-quality products and equipment.

5.2 If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of the Service, you must notify us within 24 hours of completion, providing photographic evidence where applicable.

5.3 Upon valid notification, we will:

  • Re-perform the affected part of the Service free of charge within 7 days (subject to availability); or

  • Offer a partial refund proportionate to the issue (at our discretion).

5.4 This guarantee does not cover:

  • Issues arising from subsequent use, environmental exposure, or contamination;

  • Subjective preferences regarding finish or scent.

6. Data Protection

6.1 We comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

6.2 Personal data (name, contact details, vehicle registration, payment information) is collected solely to fulfil bookings, provide Services, and communicate with you.

6.3 Data will be:

  • Processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently;

  • Stored securely and retained only for as long as necessary (typically 6 years for accounting purposes);

  • Not shared with third parties except where required for Service delivery (e.g., payment processors) or by law.

6.4 You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your data. Contact our Data Protection Officer at jcvaletservice@gmail.com.

7. Governing Law

7.1 These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

7.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim.

8. Amendments to Terms

8.1 We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, best practice, or our business operations.

8.2 Significant changes will be notified to Clients via email and/or displayed on our website at least 14 days before taking effect.

8.3 Continued use of our Services after any amendment constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
