Cancellation & Refund Policy
Thank you for booking with Collets Auto Detailing. We understand plans can change, so we’ve made our policy as fair and transparent as possible.
14-Day Cooling-Off Period (Statutory Right)
If you book your detailing appointment online or over the phone, you have a legal right to cancel for any reason and receive a full refund within 14 calendar days of making the booking (starting the day after you confirm and pay). This also includes deposits.
- No cancellation fee applies during this period.
- To cancel, simply contact us (details below). We’ll process your refund within 14 days.
Note: If your appointment is scheduled to take place (and be fully completed) within these 14 days and you have explicitly requested and agreed that we start work immediately, you will lose this cooling-off right once the service is finished.
Cancellations After the 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
We reserve diary slots exclusively for you and often turn away other work, so late cancellations affect our ability to re-book the slot. The following reasonable administration/cancellation fees therefore apply:
Notice Given Before Scheduled Appointment
More than 48 hours = Full refund - NO FEE
48 hours to 24 hours = 25% of the total booking price
Less than 24 hours ( or no-show ) = 50% of the total booking price, capped at a maximum of £100
These fees represent our genuine pre-estimated losses (lost revenue, travel/fuel preparation, and administration).
Example: £300 booking cancelled with 30 hours' notice → 25% (£75) fee, £225 refunded.
£400 booking cancelled with 12 hours notice → 50% (£200) fee, but capped at £100 → £300 refunded.
Rescheduling
We’re happy to reschedule free of charge if you give us more than 48 hours' notice. Within 48 hours, the above fees may apply unless we can fill your original slot.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
Email us at JCVALETSERVICE@GMAIL.COM or call/text 07539 016 701 as soon as possible, quoting your booking reference. We’ll confirm receipt and process any refund due within 14 days to your original payment method.
Our Right to Cancel.
In rare cases (e.g. severe weather, illness, or vehicle breakdown), we may need to cancel or reschedule. We’ll give you as much notice as possible and offer a full refund or priority re-booking — no fee will apply.
Non-Refundable Situations
If we arrive and cannot perform the service due to access issues, extreme vehicle condition not disclosed at booking, or unsafe circumstances caused by you, the full booking fee may be retained.
This policy complies with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2015. Your statutory rights are not affected.
